The tiles are metal, not ceramic, so a bit lighter than I was expecting, but that's actually useful for hanging it - I didn't need to anchor it (just used drywall nails).

(More customer reviews)I posted this review mainly to let anyone interested in this stencil set know what they're getting: not full-color stickers as depicted in the photo(s), but an outline kit that must be adhered to the wall and then painted over. The benefit to this of course is you can choose your colors. The disadvantage is that it takes a lot more work than just adhering some stickers to the wall.
One other comment: the price is so high ($99.95 as of this typing) because its manufacturer charges that much, as can be seen simply by researching the name of the company.
Anyhow, so if you're handy with paint, by all means, it's a fine set. But if you're looking for something simpler, be warned.

(More customer reviews)I absolutely love how my wallies turned out. I purchased these butterflies along with 25 dragonflies and large flowers to decorate my baby-girl's nursery. Again, I love how they turned out - very beautiful. But, they were more labor-intensive than the instructions make them out to be. You really need two people to do these. And, you have to keep up with all the water streaming down the walls while you're applying them. It's so not a huge deal - they're still great - but just be forewarned that it takes some work. Once you get the concept you can get into a rhythm and really move fast. Great product, high quality and good price!

My biggest complaint, it came in a large enough (square) box, so I am assuming it was originally rolled up, however the box was crushed and the decal ended up being folded which left a permanent discolored fold mark on one butterfly and flower has a visible crease. Still trying to smooth it out. Better shipping packaging would change this review to 5 star.

PLEASE NOTE: The actual polka dots you should receive are a thick vinyl that does not have any type of "transfer tape" on it that would require you to use an applicator. You should be able to simply peel them off the backing and stick them on your walls. They come with tiny, flat, magnetic thumbtacks that you stick into the wall and then the flowers all have magnets in them and you just stick them on top of the thumbtacks. The magnets are strong so don't worry about them falling off.
So easy to use! My suggestion is to put in a thumbtack as a starting point, put a flower on it and then hold another flower up to see where you want it and then place the thumbtack, etc. Don't place all the thumbtacks first or they might not all fit next to each other.
