(More customer reviews)I purchased both sizes of this separator for an anniversary cake. It adds a really beautiful effect to layer cakes. The plates have four prongs that fit inside the rim of the separator for stability. I highly recommend this separator as an alternative to more traditional pillars.

Setup could not be simpler: the smooth edge plates are spiked to fit inside the top and bottom rings for a secure presentation.
