(More customer reviews)When my favorite sifter finally wore out after years of use, I was happy to find an identical one still available. However, I quickly found out that it only looked the same. The spring mechanism was too weak to allow the sifting blades to return to position after squeezing the handle when using more than a half cup or so of flour. After less than a dozen uses, the plastic part which attached the spring to the blade broke. Unfortunately, it appears as though Kaiser has instituted the same sort of "cost takeout" process used by many companies to maximize profits at the expense of quality.
