I used to hate using parchment triangles and even the traditional Wilton's pastry bags because I hated to clean them. I was reluctant to design cakes that required me to pipe anything with black icing because I didn't want to stain my pastry bag. With the Fat Daddio's silicone pastry bag, I don't have any restrictions! It is absolutely simple to load up with icing, when you squeeze the icing down toward the tip it doesn't stick, piping is super simple- I feel like I have better pressure control. Even more important to me, it cleans up so easily! I haven't tried washing it in the dishwasher yet, but it's apparently dishwasher-safe. I used black royal icing in the pastry bag and it didn't stain one bit. The only negatives I can find are the color (it's a bright orange color, which isn't my favorite- they should make them in more "girlie" colors or a sleek black) and the bags ARE expensive. I just figure the color doesn't really matter that much and the price is worth the investment. I'm eventually going to buy more of these bags and toss all my other ones!
