I contacted Wilton to verify ingredients for allergens before buying, and while this product is not manufactured in an allergy-free dedicated facility, the ingredients are straightforward.
Product Ingredients: Water, Propylene Glycol, Natural and Artificial Flavors, Phosphoric Acid.
This product is great for cooking and baking for those who can't have the dairy of real butter. We use it in sauces that would normally call for butter, and in any baking where you would use butter or butter-flavored shortening. Even better, my favorite use for this imitation butter flavor is along with Spectrum Naturals Organic Shortening (actually 100% Palm) for a delicious, non-hydrogenated alternative to butter. This combination also makes perfect, flakey, and buttery pie crust! Highly recommended.
Though I use it for so much more, of course this Wilton Clear butter flavor also makes a great delicious buttercream frosting that is white-white for all your cake decorating needs. For that purpose, use along with Wilton's clear vanilla extract. Also, my product was packaged perfectly for shipping and arrived with no problems.
